We’re an Ann Arbor nonprofit connecting usable medical supplies and equipment with underserved communities in Michigan and Michigan organizations that provide aid abroad.
A message from our founder
Why I started Resurge.
What I saw in Syria stayed with me long after I left. As someone of Syrian heritage, volunteering in hospitals there during the war made the need for medical supplies painfully personal. People were already facing so much, and getting care depended on resources that weren’t always there. When I came to Michigan and saw shortages here too, I couldn’t ignore the disconnect between usable supplies going to waste and people going without.
I started Project Resurge to help close that gap. Alongside our team, I’m working to get supplies to underserved Michigan communities and Michigan organizations providing aid abroad. This work connects where I come from with the community I’m part of today. Every delivery matters to me because those supplies can help someone get the care they need.

Our goals
Two networks we’re working toward.
01
PR Redistribution Network
Excess to Access
Connect donated medical supplies and equipment with underserved Michigan communities and Michigan organizations providing aid abroad.
Our goal is to build a network that matches usable, in-date surplus resources with local needs and the needs of Michigan organizations supporting communities overseas.
02
PR Community Loan Closets
A circular healthcare model
Create a cycle of donation, borrowing, return, and reuse, so one piece of equipment can help more than one person.
We aim to create community loan closets where donated equipment, such as wheelchairs, can be borrowed, returned to Project Resurge, and borrowed again. For people with long-term or personal needs, we also aim to place donated equipment permanently when appropriate.
